You know when the chandeliers are swinging back and forth, The Lodge Jamberoo is absolutely rocking. As wedding videographers, we attend all styles of weddings. Sometimes it’s more of an intimate and emotive affair, while other times it’s a super high-energy celebration!
Nick and Emma’s wedding celebration was more like a big party, mixed with good food, wine, and cocktails by the pool. The Lodge Jamberoo was the perfect venue for this multi-day staycation, and we were there to capture the love and legendary good times.
About the Lodge Jamberoo Wedding Venue
Welcome to The Lodge Jamberoo, where 9 acres of pure awesomeness meet the stunning rainforest hills of Jamberoo. This venue truly has it all – from wedding day catering to enough accommodation to host a small army of 136 guests across 43 hotel rooms. And yes, the hotel rooms are just metres from the pool. But hold onto your party hats, folks, because there’s more! The Lodge Jamberoo is set on 9 acres of riverfront land, nestled amidst farms and surrounded by lush rainforest, just a mere 15-minute hop away from the sandy beaches of Kiama. Yes, you read that right.
Events? Oh, they do it all! Weddings, conferences, yoga retreats, fitness getaways, workshops, corporate shindigs, networking extravaganzas – there’s even a restaurant where you can have dinner and drinks or just stop in for a snack if you’re driving past.
Event Package Options
Now, let’s talk about wedding event packages. The standard deal includes:
- A two-night stay
- Ample hotel rooms to accommodate up to 136 people
- A breakfast spread that’ll put your cereal to shame
- Exclusive use of the huge function hall for up to 300 party animals
- Even a morning yoga session to get you limbered up.
The day before their wedding, Nick and Emma threw a welcome party at The Lodge in the beautifully paved outdoor area known as The Terrace. There were drinks, cocktails, delicious food, and later on, pizzas. It was an awesome pre-wedding party and the perfect way to get everyone warmed up and in relaxation mode before the big day.
But wait, there’s more!
When you book your wedding celebration at The Lodge, you’ll also have exclusive use of:
- The River Room: Featuring natural light, mirrors, air-conditioning, and a bathroom, making it the perfect spot for bridal preparations.
- The Multipurpose Games Room: Another great preparation space, complete with a pool table, ping pong, foosball, air-conditioning, mirrors, and (of course) a stocked bar fridge.
The Function Hall
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show. This is where the wedding receptions are held – just like in Ross and Bek’s wedding video. The function hall is over 300 square metres of celebration paradise, with a soaring pitched ceiling, white-painted timber and brick, and room for up to 300 people to cheer with excitement.
There’s a bar, plenty of windows for natural light, and a river deck for when you need a quick break from the party. For the reception, they’ve got rectangular tables, white tablecloths, and oak cross-back chairs for your comfort.
As wedding filmmakers, we love this space. Large venues like this can sometimes be echoey, making speeches difficult to hear, but not this hall! It absorbs sound beautifully, making it an absolute delight to capture wedding videos here.
The Deck
Venture outside, and you’ll find The Deck. It’s perched above the river, surrounded by forest trees, and equipped with comfy seating and twinkling outdoor lights. It’s the perfect spot for a cocktail party or a meet-and-greet with your guests. It’s also super handy for cocktail hour if it happens to be raining on your wedding day.
The Terrace
Next to The Deck, there’s The Terrace. It’s paved, features fire pits, and has even more fantastic seating. Want to play lawn games? There’s space to set those up next to the terrace, just like Nick and Emma did in their wedding video.
The Gorgeous Tree Cathedral
Now, the pièce de résistance – The Tree Cathedral. This spot gives off serious Alice in Wonderland vibes. Towering pine trees create a cathedral-like atmosphere, with a timber pergola for your wedding ceremony. Surrounded by lush gardens and the river flowing in the background, this is honestly one of the most beautiful spots for a South Coast wedding ceremony.
