The Rocks Wedding
The Rocks is such a vibrant part of Sydney and one of my favourite spots to craft wedding films. With Rachel being an architect and the Sydney Harbour landscape playing a significant role in their early relationship, I wanted to revisit some of these iconic locations that hold a special place for Anthony and Rachel, blending this with a sense of familiarity and the feeling of home on the family farm. It’s not every day I get to spend time with my couples, do some serious four-wheel driving in the morning, see some cows, play with dogs, and then catch a giant red double-decker bus into the city.

The Rocks Wedding Story

Rachel heads out one night with a group of friends, and Anthony is invited to tag along to Sydney’s iconic nightclub “HOME.” Meeting for the first time, Rachel and Anthony drink and dance the night away, overlooking the stunning lights of Sydney Harbour. Anthony writes on the frosted glass, hoping to get Rachel’s number, but Rachel doesn’t understand—or does she? Later, as they’re forced to wait for hours together in the cold for the first train home, this marks the start of something special—the beginning of not only their journey home that night but the beginning of their life journey together. Now, on their wedding day during their first look, Anthony is filled with joy as Rachel arrives, looking absolutely stunning in her wedding dress. Rachel then hands Anthony a special surprise, bringing him to tears. But what was this special gift?
